Community Legal Centres Tasmania welcomed the decision by the Commonwealth Attorney-General George Brandis to reverse the proposed funding cuts to Community Legal Centres and other legal assistance services. However, Jane Hutchison, the Chair of CLC Tas also expressed her concern that the reprieve did not extend to the Environmental Defender’s Office who lost all of their federal funding in 2014.
